Promote Healing And Recover Faster
My name is Joshua Sass. I graduated from Makami Collage in Alberta earning my 3000 hour Registered Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma. Growing up an athlete, playing many sports but mainly competitive hockey and being drafted into the WHL, I know about dealing with injuries, concussions and the necessity of rehabilitation. This led me to sports massage therapy; understanding how it can benefit physical recovery and at the same time relieving the mental stress an injury can cause. My goal is to work with each patient individually, meeting their specific needs. I am happy to offer my professional advice on strengthening exercises, stretching or movement that may help outside the treatment room. I have a profound love of nature, holistic nutrition and enjoy golfing, hiking, biking, hockey and snowboarding.
Currently I am working out of Altitude Physiotherapy and Massage in Banff Alberta as a fully Registered Massage Therapist. Sports massage is designed to help athletes before, during and after training. It is useful for anyone who exercises to increase flexibility, prevent injuries and help with healing after a sports injury. Sports massage is specifically tailored to different sports and sporting injuries.
Deep tissue treatment targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.
Cupping therapy increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Great for improving mobility and flexibility, releases fascial adhesions and scar tissue, relieves chronic aches and pains and decreases toxins.
Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific problem.
My goal is to work with each patient individually, meeting their specific needs. From Sports massage to Relaxation treatments, I am trained and confident in my work.
